Yeah!!!! I did not need to go to school today. I had a very bad cough and threw up last night. The vomit tasted bad. Mommy gave me Ventolin, Benadryl and a glass of chocolate milk. I felt better after that.
It is fun to be absent from school because I can play in the garden, watch tv and play Duel Masters with my brother Samuel. It is fun to play and watch tv all day. It is fun to be sick.

Mark! Why do you say it is fun to be sick? It is fun to go to school to play with your friends!! I hope you'll get better so you can GO OUT AND PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS in school!! It is more fun to play with your friends in school than to play in the garden ALL by yourself!!=0)
I like your honesty, but your sister is right. School IS fun. Furthermore, if you miss one day of school, you'll have to do double the amount of homework the next day - believe me, that is NOT fun!
Do you remember the time when you were really sick with stomach flu and had to be hospitalised? You could not eat at all for days ... and when the doctor finally said you could eat something light, you just gobbled down a few slices of bread. You were such a pitiful sight then; I hope you will stay strong ... healthy, wealthy and wise.

Being sick is fun but it also makes you miss your friends. And I hate homework, and it's even worse when the work is given to you by your mother!
